Synopsis

When the death obsessed Harold (Bud Cort) meets free-spirit Maude (Ruth Gordon) at a funeral, he falls in love with her and her infectious zest for life. The only issue being that he’s 17 and she’s 79. This slice of 70′s flower power is a heart warming tale about what really matters in life, and what really doesn’t.

Hal Ashby’s BAFTA and Golden Globe nominated film is a Woodstock-era look at the glorious possibilities of life, love and rebellion. In 2008, the American Film Institute voted this little shown gem as among the top 10 greatest romantic comedies of all time.
